I hope you are encouraged by this:
I woke early this morning.
I asked the Lord why I was awake.
I believe He gave me a picture and said the following: In the picture I saw a group of people, they were Christian leaders, and we all had little bright coloured stickers on us. But they were in inconspicuous places over our clothes. Under our arms, in the seams, in the collars, in the seams of the sleeves. Little stickers which didn’t really stand out, but nevertheless were on each person and in significant numbers.
I asked the Lord what this meant. What are these stickers Lord? I believe He said that they are the opinions of others. They signified what others expected of us. How to lead. How to preach. How to sing. What clothes to wear… of course the list is endless. As I read my Bible this morning I was reminded of Joshua crossing the river Jordan in Joshua 3:3-4. Follow the ark of the covenant because… “You have not been this way before“.
I believe that the Lord wants us to search our hearts over the coming days and weeks to ensure we are operating in His plan, is His way, longing for His heart, and desiring intimate relationship with the Living God.
This must be of more importance than the opinions of others.
I believe the Lord is saying, ‘These stickers need to go’.
I trust that you are encouraged by this word, and move closer to Jesus Christ as you invite Him to show you these stickers and ask His help to remove them effectively.
