A quick word of encouragement:
This Scripture was read out at our prayer meeting this morning:
Romans 4:18-22 NIV
18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. 20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. 22 This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.”
I believe this to be a word from our God for us in the Barefoot community.
And perhaps it is an encouragement for the wider Body of Christ.
No matter what we are seeing around us, God is calling us to His ways, His purposes, and calling us to enter deeper into relationship with Him.
Let’s keep our hearts open and sensitive to His promptings and His callings, following the demonstration of those who have gone before us and ushered in the transformational power of Jesus Christ through their obedience and sacrifice.
